Near the airport, on the Tijuana side, I noticed a street dog lower his head before peeing on the fence, and then head back into Mexico. Perhaps he knew better! As miserable as life may be in Tijuana, for a street dog, it might represent freedom. In any case, what kind of dog wouldn’t feel threatened by so many fences made out of sharp metal sheets?
La naturaleza desafiante de este perro no habría podido pasar desapercibida.
En uno de los tramos vi a un perro callejero que inclinó la cabeza después de orinar contra el muro y tomó para el otro lado. Hizo bien. Por más mísera que sea la vida en Tijuana para los perros de la calle, le habrá parecido más libre; él que quizás se sintió amenazado por tanta reja y tanto filoso metal.
